Back-to-Back

Great Rooms are one of the best features of recently built homes. However, incorrectly furnishing these spaces can leave them feeling empty and cold. The biggest problem is focusing every piece of furniture towards the TV. Don't get us wrong, the TV can be a focal point, but you must also divide and conquer! It's important to create more intimate seating areas within the larger space. Placing matching sofas back-to-back can easily accomplish this task.

Another way to create different zones is to place a console table, with lamps on it, between two matching back-to-back sofas.

Do you like the back-to-back idea, but not the matchy-matchy look? Get the same result by creating two seating areas with different, yet coordinating pieces.

These layouts are great because several seating areas allow family members to enjoy the space individually, while still spending time together.
