If you've been under the impression that painting your walls a very dark color would be crazy (or just plain gloomy), then think again! Rich, deep hued walls can be gorgeous.
Black Fox paint was used in each of the I.O. METRO designed spaces below. The dark color works with a variety of styles of decor, because a few simple rules were followed.
1. It’s usually best to only paint walls really dark colors in spaces that have good natural light. (Unless that is you’re going for a super dark and cozy vibe.)
2. Mirrors are the perfect adornment for dark walls, because they reflect light and add brightness.
3. By using contrasting colored furniture, you can really make a dark wall and the decor pop!
4. Partnered with natural light, lamps and candle sconces create layers of warmth in a space.
5. Textured rugs, fabrics, art and accessories should all be incorporated to add color and soften the look.
