She's a Brick, HOUSE {dining room}

The Dining Room is the Center for Entertaining in your home. It should be a room with good Flow that feels Elegant, yet Comfortable. As you'll see, the BEFORE Dining Room in this house had "Builder Beige" paint and the Lighting Fixtures had seen better days. It screamed blah, not elegance!

Before AFTER The walls got a much needed Fresh coat of Paint (Sherwin Williams-Black Fox) to create the Mood, the wall sconces were removed and replaced with Large Canvas Art, and a Reclaimed Lighting Fixture took center stage.

Before AFTER
We said goodbye to the shelves in the built-ins and replaced them with Mirrors to Reflect the Light coming in from the windows directly across the room. Tall Lamps were added to accentuate the Architecture.

Before AFTER The plantation shutters were removed from the windows and floor to ceiling Chocolate Drapery Panels were hung to add softness. They also add height by drawing the eye up, making the ceiling seem taller.

The Silver 1492 Collection Wine Cabinet adds Eclectic Glam.

Books and Artwork Personalize the space.

The room is Open & Welcoming when coming in from the foyer.

Lamps and a dimmer switch on the chandelier allow the room to go from BRIGHT to a Soft Glow, adding to the Ambiance.

Just like the walls, the Dark Stained Dining Table and lighter Velvet Dining chairs Contrast nicely.

Finally, inexpensive flowers in bud vases add a Bright Pop of Color. Flowers can be Changed with the Seasons and really finish out the space!
