I.O. METRO’s Sofa Sale is going on now! However, buying the perfect sofa is only step one. Complimenting pieces are a must, but be sure they are in scale with the sofa. Once you get home, it is essential that you arrange your furniture in a way that is conducive to your space. The most common layouts are the Facing Plan, U-Shaped Plan, L-Shaped Plan and the Diagonal Plan. In the photo below each of the layouts are diagrammed. The sofas are paired with chairs, but you can get creative and use a love seat, chaise, settee or ottomans just as well.
The three most important things to consider when choosing an arrangement are; 1) the flow of the space, 2) the room's focal point and 3) depending on your lifestyle, how you plan to utilize the room.
