You can have children, pets and a BEAUTIFUL HOME. It all just comes down to making the right choices...
Materials Matter
When you’re choosing a Sofa or Sectional, forgo the stain and fur-magnet materials like silk and chenille. Choose Leather or Microfiber. And when we say Microfiber, don’t think that cheap rubber band feeling fabric of years past. Polyester microfiber is now made to look and feel like velvet, and can easily be cleaned with gentle soap and water. And who doesn’t love the fact that leather can just be wiped down?
Remember, heavy fabrics with a flat weave are better than lightweight or looped fabrics. Patterns and Color are also great for hiding any little imperfections that do arise.
Vignettes
Just because you must beware of placing items at toddler or tail levels, doesn’t mean every low surface should be empty. Place your beautiful, yet fragile, accessories at least 45 inches or higher in your space. Use less breakable, heavy items like wooden trays and books on coffee tables.
Speaking of coffee tables, are you worried about those sharp corners? An Ottoman is a wonderful alternative to a coffee table. These multipurpose pieces look great and provide added comfort for you and the kids. Plus, many ottomans also have Concealed Storage for all those toys!

Rugs
Rugs with a thin pile are ideal. For the best wear and tear, think Jute, Kilim, or Cowhides. These materials are the most sturdy and forgiving.
Bedding
Please don’t buy "bed-in-a-bag" bedding that cannot be separated from the insert. Opt for Duvet Covers + Shams that can be removed and cleaned. Coverlets are also good for layering and can be easily washed.
