On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress replaced the British symbols of the Grand Union flag with a new design featuring stars and stripes. Old Glory has changed designs over the centuries, but has remained a never-ending symbol of freedom. So today we celebrate all the fabulous flags that have inspired our country.
