We use books in more of our catalog shots than not. We pick the books we will use by which will add to the color scheme of the room. Or in some cases, we use neutral colors that will not distract from the focal point. In the process of looking for books for our shoots, we ran across Books By The Foot. We knew we had found a real gem.
Books By The Foot is an incredibly useful website that allows you to purchase whatever “look” of books you'd like. They have vintage books, books by color, bestsellers, faux books, books by the subject and any other kind of book you can imagine. As you have probably guessed, the purchase quantity is by feet. Easy as that. If you need to fill eight feet of shelf space, you simply purchase eight feet of books!
