Mixing Traditional & Contemporary Style

Mixing different styles is a struggle many of you run into. What do you do when you have pieces that you LOVE but they don't exactly mesh with your vision? Simple, you make them mesh.

Domaine recently showed us how designer Luis Puerta combined traditional styling with contemporary flair. We loved it so much, we wanted to share a few of the beautiful pictures with you (we wouldn't want anyone to miss out on this):

If this is a dilemma you are running into, do not fear, I.O. Metro is here!

By now, most of you know that we offer FREE design service. Yes, we said free. And our super talented designers have had this kind of request before. These pictures are just one example of a design job that required our designers to think outside the box and blend styles.

The Azteca mirror repetition wall instantly updates this space while still tying in with the traditional seating.

Throwing in some glass furniture, like this coffee table (the Lenox), adds instant modern style.

Mirrored furniture is always an easy way to update the decor in a room, it goes with almost any existing style. In this room, our Carlyle Collection brings this whole design together, and the cute mirrored cube end table fits right in.

This particular design job was done by Cherryl Gibson, from our Rogers, Ar store. She joined the I.O. Metro team in 2011 after studying Interior Design at Harcourt School of Interior Design and starting her own design business. With 12 years of Interior Design experience, she offers a variety of styles that give her clients various options to fit their respective tastes. Cherryl incorporates her client’s ideas with her own expert vision, creating a space that reflects their life and own personal style. Saying we are lucky to have her is a gross understatement.
