She's a Brick, HOUSE {kitchen + hearth room}

No matter what, people always Congregate in the Kitchen. Thus, you want to make sure it is Spacious. One great feature of this house was that the kitchen was open to a Hearth Room. The Open Room was awesome, but the color scheme... not so much!

Before AFTER The Salmon pink granite was UGLY. It was replaced by a lovely Gray Toned slab. A new Jenn-Air range was also installed.

Ugh, the microwave on the shelf stuck out like a sore thumb. And the white appliances and black cabinet hardware were really aging the kitchen. Everything was Replaced by Stainless Steel Appliances and Hardware.

That appliance garage was too much and the plate rack just wasn't our thing. It was relatively easy to get New Cabinet Doors made and Paint, instead of totally replacing the cabinets.

Once the slate was replaced by Stainless Tiles the Back-Splash really Popped against the newly painted Black Fox walls.

Once again we said goodbye to the beige paint, plantation shutters, ceiling fan and lighting fixture. Recessed can lighting, on dimmers, was added.

The slate fireplace was way too squatty for the space. We Tore It Out and replaced it with a Stone floor to ceiling Fireplace. This made a Huge Impact. With the new Fireplace and Drapes, the room seems so much Taller.

An Indian Drum, for the coffee table, was a fun, Eclectic touch.

Overall, the space turned out perfectly. The contrasting, Neutral Color Scheme really lets you enjoy the Green right outside the windows. It's now a Bright, Cheery area. Everything Flows well from space to space.
